MOTHID
Night Moth | b6f4d0bff81f
Capacity: High | Charge: Low | Affinities: [Life - Wind]
Moth-humanoids, having feather antennae, with "fluffy" tufts and plumage. Their wings are somewhere between feathery and fluffy. Coloration varies but their sclera is always black. Their limbs have glove or thigh-high chitin plating that may stem from the shoulder/hip or elbow/knee, adorning their four arms and two legs.
They produce thousands of small eggs which hatch fluffy caterpillars that become large furry maned moths, of which some grow cat-sized of which only some mature into a full Mothid eventually.
They are able to produce silk from their limbs, the same fine soft silk that makes up their "fur" and hair. They can naturally learn Arachnescence. When using it, they replace spider references with moths. Their evil eyes are wing markings, though may also have spare eyes. A Mothid may create a cocoon from which it will be reborn if it dies, embedding a special egg within it.
Mothids draw Mana from atmosphere.
Mothids build silken nests with structural webbing, from which they reach for extra verticality by building tall spiraling spires,
MOTHID -8
Mothids can normally compact and enhance their webbing into "structural webbing" that's light and hard like bone. More powerful Mothids with this perk are able to further refine their silk until it forms a material as light and ethereal as aerogel, as hard as diamond, but as shatterproof as springsteel. They have no height limit on how tall they can build their manaspires, able to construct a space elevator if they wished to. One such spire capable of tapping space will provide passive High charge. The Mothid can now learn Arachnescence at half cost stacking with affinity.
NOVID
Stars Above | 59476fb94efc
Capacity: Low | Charge: Low | Affinities: [Life - ???]
Novids have bodies composed of luminous plasma emulating the human form. Their "blood" or "insides" are like hot wax while their skin is just comfortably warm. When angered, they heat up to searing temps.
The only part of their body not starstuff-plasma, is a metal "Brand" in their face that acts as a medium for their soul and form control. A slain Novid can reform from this brand given exposure to sun/starlight for 3 days, else the brand can be reforged with the Novid in mind. New Novids are made by intense smooching sparking a baby novid drawing a fragment from each brand to form two "eyes" that eventually merge.
They emit light comparable to torchlight, and have no biological needs. Healing effects work on them as though they were a human. They have Aethemautics R3 and the Levitation perk inherently as a species.
Novids draw Mana from starlight, having a Low charge if few stars are visible, Medium charge on a good clear night a reasonable distance from a city, and High charge when there's almost no light polution. The Sun itself during daylight will provide Medium.
NOVID -8
Some Novids aren't ordinary stars, but are Wishing Stars. You can access Wishcasting, but it can only be used on behalf of those who "make a wish upon a star" and only in baby or witchling form- You also retain access to your baby-novid form as a floating star-like shape the size of a teddybear. This form triples the speed of your Levitation.
For an additional -8p, you may gain META access to Simple Witchy Starlight, having a Starling-Witchling form tertiary to your baby-Novid and adult-Novid form, gaining Maturation for free. Both your Witchling and Adult forms look like a Novid however, unless you take FORMS abilities to alter it, or other magics here. Maturation's buff only applies to Witchy Starlight content.
MECHANOID
Fullmetal | 893eafa36042
Capacity: Low | Charge: Low | Affinities: [Metal - Mind]
Fully robotic lifeforms born from dedicated will of a master artisan with a bit of wonderfactor imbuing them with life and a spark of magic. Mana sustains their life though they can "consume" electricity, and can eat metal, for pleasure and bodily maintenance akin to nutrition. When not in danger their steel-chrome skin can be as pliable as a real body, but as hard as proper metal plating if it would take damage or if the fullborg is on edge, or abandons humanity. Mechanoid lifeforms can emulate all aspects of life translated into a robo format, and are even capable of repro-duction to produce more synthetic lifeforms with no "Species" boundaries.
Mechanoid are fully immortal. If slain, repair.
Mechanoid draw Mana from data, deriving power from information in a literal sense. Every little bit of new information gives some small amount of charge, while learning important secrets or mysteries of the world can overwhelm their mana capacity for a moment. Requiring new information, fullborgs are often an extreme of adventurous or lazy with internet access.
MECHANOID -8
Some mechanoids will have a visible glow, such as in the eyes or visor or "LED" points. These mechanoids are easily identified as being Laserborn. Laserborn gain the Life Affinity with a High Mana Capacity and also gain a secondary Low charge based on light absorption.
Laserborn mechanoids can shoot lasers from their eyes/visor, or eye-like laser diodes. Choose 3 non-eye diodes, such as having one on the chest and in the palms or finger tips.
These lasers match the raw damage potential of up to the mecha's highest ranking magic available to it, else just equating to the damage of mundane small arms. Mana is spent to match.
WUNIMAL
Tiger's Sky | 7f9665ccf017
Capacity: High | Charge: Low | Affinities: [Mind - Beast]
Wunimals are wonderous animals that acquired a spark of magic that augmented them with true consciousness and generally supports their elevated existence and ability to stand on two legs. A wunimal can be based on any animal, and appears indistinguishable if they choose not to wear anything and not walk upright, though most feel as much or more aversion to doing so as a human would, being equally deemed a "nudist" if they chose to, and view it as somewhat degrading to walk on all fours. Wunimals always age the same as their base animal, but any slain or dead-from-natural-causes wunimal can be reborn from any similar looking member of their same animal species if it is given the wunimal's name and treated as though it were the wunimal, and it being made reality. This can be done before the wunimal dies, giving an animal their name and treating it like the sapient one, dressing it up, then should the wunimal die, the animal becomes wunimal.
Wunimals draw Mana from tomfoolery, being absurd. They have a minor passive charge simply for existing as a talking upright animal in human clothes but also generate mana when expressing quirks or using absurd language like "skallywag", or playing a caricature of a role.
WUNIMAL -8
Wonderfactor isn't limited just to mammals! Some rare wunimals may be wonderous variants of dinosaurs! This effect seems to be altered by the general public consciousness, so you may see both feathered and featherless variants of the same dinosaur. Because dinosaurs are even more absurd than talking animals, Dinowunders charge rate changes to High.
If you don't wish to be a dinosaur, you can elect to just have High charge and can choose cryptid animals without supernatural abilities, such as a Jackalope or Winged Monkey.
